Profile overview, May to October 2026.

This client is a home services company based in the United States. Due to a non-disclosure agreement, their name and specific location are kept confidential. The results published here are verified and accurate.

When Hyxil took over, the client had an underperforming Google Business Profile, weak organic search visibility, and no structured local SEO strategy. The goal was simple: get them found by local customers actively searching for their services, without spending on paid advertising.

The client operated in a local service area with established competitors who had been investing in their online presence for years. They had a Google Business Profile but it was incomplete, under-optimised, and not showing up consistently in local pack results. Their website had little to no organic visibility. They were relying entirely on word of mouth and referrals, which left growth completely unpredictable.

1

Full Local SEO Audit

We started with a comprehensive audit of the client's existing GBP listing, website, citations, and competitor positions. We identified gaps in NAP consistency across directories, missing service categories, and a thin website that was not signalling enough relevance to Google for local queries.

2

Google Business Profile Optimisation

We rebuilt the GBP listing from the ground up. This included selecting the correct primary and secondary categories, rewriting the business description with target keywords, uploading a complete photo library, configuring the service area, adding all individual services with descriptions, and setting up Q&A. Every element was treated as a ranking signal.

3

Website Development and On-page SEO

We built and optimised the website to support local search signals. This meant creating service pages with proper keyword targeting, adding location-specific content, implementing schema markup for local business, and ensuring technical SEO was clean from launch. PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals were brought up to competitive standards.

4

Citation Building and NAP Consistency

We submitted the business to relevant US directories and ensured the Name, Address, and Phone number was exactly consistent across all listings. Inconsistent NAP is one of the most overlooked but impactful local ranking factors, particularly for businesses competing in a defined service area.

5

Review Strategy

We implemented a systematic review generation process, prompting satisfied customers to leave Google reviews as part of the post-service workflow. Reviews directly influence local pack rankings and the click-through rate of GBP listings in search results.

6

Ongoing Content and GBP Posts

We maintained a regular cadence of GBP posts covering services, seasonal offers, and trust-building content. Combined with consistent website content additions, this kept the profile active and reinforced Google's confidence in the business as a relevant local result.

7

Monitoring and Iteration with Ahrefs and GSC

We tracked rankings, impressions, keyword movements, and backlink growth through Google Search Console and Ahrefs. Monthly reporting allowed us to double down on what was working and identify new keyword and location opportunities as the domain authority grew.

The GSC data shows a clear and consistent upward trajectory in impressions from mid-2025 onward, with the strongest growth occurring in the final quarter of 2025 and into January 2026. Impressions peaked near 1,800 per day in late 2025. The average position of 38.7 reflects a domain still climbing — rankings at this stage translate directly into the strong impression numbers already showing, with click volume set to grow as positions improve into the top 10 for core service keywords.

Traffic value of $474 means Google estimates this organic traffic would cost $474 per month in Google Ads to replicate. As the domain continues building authority and rankings move into the top 10, this figure will scale significantly. The +199 organic traffic growth is the key headline: the site went from near-zero visibility to 221 monthly organic visitors, all without paid ads.

One of the most significant emerging results in this campaign is the client's presence in AI-generated search answers. As AI-powered search grows, being cited in these results represents a new and valuable form of visibility that most local businesses are completely unaware of.

The 20 ChatGPT citations are particularly notable. When potential customers ask AI assistants about services in this category, this client is being recommended. This is a competitive edge that very few local businesses have yet and it is a direct result of the content and authority signals built through this SEO campaign.
