FAQ Generator — draft answers and schema you can paste.
Enter a topic, city, and audience. Copy six to ten Q&As plus FAQPage JSON-LD for WordPress, Yoast, or a Custom HTML block.
Generate to edit questions, copy the FAQ copy, and copy FAQPage JSON-LD.
Name the page, then replace every number the template guessed
This FAQ generator writes short questions and answers from the topic, city, business name, and industry you pick. It does not call an AI API or invent a license you did not type. Schema will repeat whatever you leave in the boxes — including a placeholder price.
Enter the service the URL is actually about
Use the same phrase as the page — “emergency plumber,” not “full-service residential solutions.” Industry can auto-detect from that string, or you can set home, health, legal, agency, shop, or general.
Add city and business if the answers should name them
City turns “how much does it cost” into a local question. The business name becomes “our team” or the company in the answer. Both are optional; generic drafts still generate.
Drop proof in the notes box
License, hours, neighborhoods, a real dispatch fee — the notes append to a few answers. Do not put a number here if it is not on the site. Six FAQs is the default; you can ask for 4, 8, or 10.
Edit, then copy Q&A or JSON-LD
Change any question. The schema box updates as you type. Copy Q&A for the page body. Copy JSON-LD or the script tag for Yoast, Rank Math, or a Custom HTML block. Visible FAQs and schema should match.
Why a short FAQ block still earns its space
People search questions. A service page that already answers price, timing, and “do you come to my city” keeps that person on the URL instead of sending them back to the results. The same questions are what you would seed on a Google Business Profile Q&A.
FAQPage markup can make those pairs eligible for rich results when Google chooses to show them. Google has tightened that. Schema is not a switch that guarantees a dropdown under your blue link. It is structured copy of what you already published. If the visible FAQ and the JSON-LD disagree, fix the copy, not the plugin.
Questions a customer would type
Cost, emergency hours, insurance, parking, and service area beat “What makes us the best?” Write the objection, not the slogan.
Answers that could stand as a paragraph
Two or three sentences is enough. A one-word “Yes” is a poor rich-result snippet and a poor page.
Visible text first, schema second
Put the Q&A on the page. Then paste JSON-LD. Markup for questions that are not on the page is a policy problem.
Industry changes the bank
A plumber draft should not talk about retainers. A law firm draft should not promise same-day heat. Pick the audience before you generate.
FAQs do not replace a title tag or a complete listing. Write the snippet with the meta title and description generator. If the questions are the ones Maps users ask, answer them on the profile too — the GBP audit has a Q&A row.
What to edit in the answer vs what to put in JSON-LD
The generator gives you both so you can publish one source of truth. The edits are different.
Write for the person, then keep it short
- Replace every template fee, license, and neighborhood with yours.
- Cut a question you cannot answer in public (medical, legal strategy).
- Keep 6–10 pairs on a service page. A homepage of 25 FAQs is a dump.
- Use the same wording you would say on the phone.
- If price varies, say what moves it — do not invent a number to look complete.
Repeat the published pairs, nothing extra
- Copy JSON-LD after the last edit, not before.
- One FAQPage block. Do not paste a second generator output underneath.
- Do not mark up questions that live only in an accordion plugin you never opened.
- The script-tag copy is for a Custom HTML block if the SEO plugin has no FAQ field.
- Validate later in Google’s rich-results test if you need a second opinion.
Local service FAQs should name the city you actually serve. If the rest of the page never mentions that city, the local SEO checker will catch it — and the FAQ will not save the URL.
What not to mark up as an FAQ
Most bad FAQ schema is not invalid JSON. It is a sales page stuffed into Question types, or answers that are not on the page.
Do not turn features into fake questions
“What is our 5-star process?” is an ad. “Do I need to be home for the appointment?” is a question. Google’s FAQ guidelines have been used to drop promotional markup.
Do not publish a price you cannot honor
Notes like “$89 dispatch” will land in the answer and the JSON-LD. If that fee changed last month, delete it here before it becomes a complaint.
Do not duplicate the same FAQ on twenty URLs
A city page can share a structure. The city, the hours, and the parking answer should change. Identical blocks on every service look like a template farm.
Do not hide the only honest answer in schema
If the visible accordion says “Call us” and the JSON-LD has a paragraph, you have two pages. Make them the same paragraph.

Need FAQs plus the pages they sit on?
This page drafts questions and FAQPage markup. If location pages, the Business Profile Q&A, and the service copy need the same facts, start with local SEO or send the URL through contact. We will say what is a schema paste and what is a content job — without treating this generator as a rich-result guarantee.
Use the generator above, then ask if you need the pages
Local SEO and a contact form — not another sales homepage. The tool stays free either way.
